Product Quality & Shelf Life Policy
This page is being updated. For any questions about our wholesale and export terms, please contact info@onedayfmcg.com or WhatsApp / WeChat / Viber +84 904094478.
Scope
This policy explains the quality standards Oneday FMCG Trading Limited Company applies to the goods it supplies, and how shelf life is handled on export orders. It should be read together with our Product Authenticity & Anti-Counterfeit Policy and our Claims, Returns & Damaged Goods Policy.
Where Our Goods Come From
We supply branded fast-moving consumer goods produced in Vietnam and goods distributed in Vietnam by their brand owners. Goods are obtained from manufacturers and from authorised distribution channels within Vietnam. We are a trading company and an exporter: we do not manufacture, reformulate, repack or relabel the products we sell, except where export cartons are consolidated for container loading.
Original Manufacturer Packaging
All goods are supplied in the manufacturer's original sealed retail packaging, in unopened export cartons. Primary packaging is not altered. Product formulation, ingredient declarations, nutrition information, artwork and date coding are entirely the manufacturer's, and the manufacturer's own quality management system governs their production.
Quality and Food Safety Standards
Products are manufactured under the quality and food safety systems operated by their manufacturers and are compliant with Vietnamese regulations applicable to their production and domestic distribution. Where a manufacturer holds certifications such as ISO, HACCP or halal certification for a given plant or product, we can request copies of the relevant certificates for your file — subject to the manufacturer releasing them. We do not claim certifications of our own that we do not hold.
Shelf Life on Dispatch
Shelf life differs greatly between categories: an ambient beverage, a biscuit, a shampoo and a detergent have very different total shelf lives. Because of this we do not publish a single figure. Instead:
- Tell us your minimum remaining shelf life requirement at enquiry stage, expressed either in months or as a proportion of total shelf life.
- We confirm on the Proforma Invoice the remaining shelf life we can commit to for each line, taking account of production cycles and transit time to your port.
- Where a required remaining shelf life cannot be met for a particular SKU, we tell you before the order is confirmed rather than shipping short-dated stock and dealing with it afterwards.
Remaining shelf life is calculated from the date of dispatch from Vietnam. Buyers should allow for sea transit and destination clearance when setting their requirement.
Date Codes and Batch Traceability
Every unit carries the manufacturer's production and expiry coding. We do not alter, obscure, overprint or remove date codes, batch codes or barcodes under any circumstances. Batch information supports traceability in the event of a manufacturer recall. If a manufacturer issues a recall or withdrawal affecting goods we have supplied to you, we will notify you as soon as we are informed and assist with identification of the affected batches.
Storage and Handling Before Dispatch
Goods are held in ambient dry storage appropriate to FMCG, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and are checked against the Proforma Invoice for quantity, pack integrity and date coding before loading. Products requiring separation within a mixed container — for example strongly scented household products loaded alongside food — are separated and barriered as described in our Shipping & Export Logistics Policy.
Conditions in Transit and at Destination
Ocean containers experience significant temperature swings. Products such as chocolate, certain confectionery coatings and some cosmetic emulsions are sensitive to sustained heat. Where you are importing into a hot climate or shipping through equatorial routing, raise it at enquiry stage so that we can advise on suitability, loading position or an alternative pack. Once risk has passed under the agreed Incoterm, conditions in transit and storage conditions at destination are the Buyer's responsibility.
Specification Changes by Manufacturers
Manufacturers periodically change artwork, pack weight, carton configuration, formulation or barcode. These changes are made without reference to us. Product information on this website is drawn from manufacturer data and is indicative; the binding specification is the one recorded on the Proforma Invoice. If a fixed artwork or formulation matters to your market, state it in writing before the order is confirmed.
Destination Market Compliance
Goods are produced for their intended markets. Meeting destination-market requirements — ingredient restrictions, label language, nutrition and allergen declaration formats, product registration, and any certification required for import — is the Buyer's responsibility, as set out in our Export Compliance & Documentation Policy. Tell us your destination requirements before ordering and we will confirm what can and cannot be met.
What This Policy Does Not Cover
This is not a consumer warranty. Goods are sold for resale, and this policy does not create rights for end consumers in the destination market. Statutory rights of consumers in the destination market are the responsibility of the party placing the goods on that market.
